The Center for Education Solutions regrets that it cannot send an application without a self-addressed, stamped envelope. In addition to the application form, you need to submit a 2-4 page essay (typed, double-spaced) explaining how community service experiences have shaped your life and how you will use your college educations to build communities in a manner consistent with Pat Charnon's values of compassion, tolerance, generosity and respect. We also require an official transcript from your high school or college and three letters of reference addressed to the Charnon Scholarship Selection Committee. Applications must be postmarked by March 31st for the academic year beginning in August or September. Recipients will be notified of their award in early August, and a profile of the recipient will be posted on The Center website. The applicant who, in the judgment of the selection committee, best reflects the values of Pat Charnon will receive the award. Checks for the prorated amounts of the award will be sent to the recipients in care of the financial aid office of the colleges or universities they will be attending.All materials submitted for applications must include the name, address, and telephone number of the applicant. * Relatives of selection committee members are not eligible for awards.Back to top
